The Production Supervisor manages all activities associated with the production
department. She/He is responsible for people and team development, motivating the team
and ensuring quality performance.
• Oversee the daily operations of food processing
• Ensure that production meets health, safety, sanitation, and quality standards set
• Responsible for coordinating shifts, arranging schedules, and monitoring employee
performance.
• Assessing and determining cost of production and resource requirements
• Monitoring stock level and movement of raw materials
• Track operational output measures (i.e. efficiency, yield loss, product quality,
inventory accuracy), anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise the
achievement of targets
• Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term
performance goals
• Optimize ingredient and packaging material used to minimize scrap loss
• Administer policies and procedures
• Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite
• This role requires regular presence on the plant floor
• This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally
• This role may require off-shift and weekend work
• Bachelor’s degree; study in food science or related field
• Previous experience in food production or experience in a supervisory role preferred
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics
• Able to work effectively with formulas, weights and volume measurements
• Willingness to be coached, take direction, and follow our production guidelines.
• Must possess strong skills, knowledge and capability in food processing, finance and
accounting, project management, leadership, and statistics/logical problem-solving
• Solid working knowledge of the following business enterprises: HSE/quality
regulatory compliance, processing/packaging/warehouse operations, ingredient and
package material procurement, production planning & deployment, research and
development, and excellent communication, facilitation and influence skills
• Willingness to be coached, take direction, and follow our production guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
Applicant must have minimum 5 years’ experience in production, packaging and must have
manufacturing experience with production planning.
